Brunch at Boston Tea Party, Cheltenham

Bla bla bla.

I know, you get it. I love brunch. To be honest who doesn’t. It is the perfect occasion for a catch up with friends and to really indulge in your food. And I know – new year, new you but breakfast needn’t be boring. And when at home my favourite place to go is the Boston Tea Party in Cheltenham. Yes, I will travel to get the brunch I need and deserve! I knew when I came home for Christmas I would most likely come here. And whilst scrolling through pictures on instagram, I couldn’t help but notice it looked different? The menu remained the same but the food had a different aesthetic. To put it frankly it just looked fancier. And of course this made me want to go even more.

Like usual I couldn’t decide between pancakes and eggs benedict. Luckily for me a friend also had this same dilemma and so together we shared a plate of pancakes as well as ordering ourselves eggs. Friendship goals. Also ordered  were bagels, smoked salmon on rye and their West Country breakfast. To drink we ordered fresh orange juice, milkshakes and tea and coffee for the more grown up of the group (not me). Something for everyone.

The eggs.
Can I just reiterate how fancy these look! Thick slices of ham on top of toasted sourdough bread with two soft poached eggs drizzled with hollaindaise.  Yuuum. And what made this benedict so different was the scattering of sliced radishes, cress and dried herbs. Very fancy indeed. A must try for any eggs benny fan.

The pancakes.
These were a fluffy stack of pancakes sprinkled with icing sugar topped with a seasonal berry compote and greek yoghurt. A great topping choice as the sharp yoghurt cuts through the sweet compote nicely. Although really filling, you can never go wrong with pancakes. So I was always going to love these.

On a side note I also noticed they seem to have changed the crockery. And I am in love with the new plates which are almost bowl-like with a rustic style to them. Lol, just had to put that in there. But as you can gather I am still in love with BTP and even more so since their little makeover. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area of have one nearby!

Do you love brunch?
