If you follow me on twitter, you may have noticed I’ve put myself on a little spending ban. And so far so good… except I couldn’t resist the latest gymshark release oops. But other than that I’ve really cracked down and am hoping to save some pennies.
But NEWSFLASH there is currently 20% off everything at ASOS! (Use code SWEET at the checkout before tomorrow morning 30/05!!!)
ASOS is everyone’s best friend. Why go outside to go shopping when you can do it from bed? Also since they introduced their spend £9.95 for a year of next day delivery, it’s hard to resist.
I am going to be good and stick to the spending ban. But I thought there’s no harm in encouraging others to spend haha. So I’ve comprised a mini summer clothing wishlist of things I would buy if I could. It was actually really hard not to give in but I’m staying strong! And don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say I’m fashionable and never really stick to the trends. But I wear what I like and I like what I wear, which is good enough for me! So I hope this provides you with some inspo for Summer.
So onto the clothes!
I have to say shopping for tops is the worst part of shopping. It’s so boring and there are far too many. T-shirts, blouses, shirts, vest, bodies etc. I barely make my way through the first 50 on ASOS, but nevertheless I was able to find 5 tops I would buy. As mentioned above, I don’t shop for trends but sometimes I do end up buying into them. One of which I have noticed EVERYWHERE are slogan tees and I love them. I’ve already bought a couple which I wear all the time, so simple tucked into a pair of trousers or a denim skirt. I also really like the whole bralette over t-shirt style, even better than the slip dress over tee trend. But the thing I am digging the most are off the shoulder/bardot tops. So I’m sure once the spending ban is lifted I’ll be after those!

If you’ve seen some of my outfit photos on Instagram, you’ll know I have a strong love for trousers. A good pair of trousers is worth 100 pairs of jeans and I’m always on the hunt for more. They help to dress up an outfit, making it look more put together in a super effortless way whilst also being comfffffy. I love. When it’s really hot I do like a good skirt or pair of shorts and this summer I’m really liking colourful bottoms – pinks, yellows, reds – it’s all good! And I love the added details to these pieces for an extra bit of style e.g. tassles, bows, distressed hems.
All in ones
When it comes to clothes, you cannot deny dresses, playsuits and jumpsuits are the Gods. One piece of clothing and your whole outfit is sorted! Such a winner. With the only issue being going to the loo wearing a one piece, it’s 100% worth the effort. I love casual dresses such as this t-shirt dress and super cute yellow sundress which are easy to throw on last minute. In the past I’ve never had any interest in jumpsuits in favour of playsuits but oh my god, look as these. They look soooo comfy and could easily be dressed up or down.
Sadly you can’t live your life barefoot – not in England anyway! Shoes aren’t usually something I set out to look for, usually I’ll see them and think I NEED YOU! So I’ve found a few pairs of shoes I’m lusting after at the moment. Sandals are of course an essential but sometimes it’s not quite warm enough, so 10 years too late I’ve finally decided I want a pair of converse lol. I love the embroidered detail on the sandals above as well as the yellow tie around of the other pair. Now these heels – I can’t tell if they’re ugly or not… but I think I dig them anyway. So there’s a choice of trainers, sandals and a pair of heels – what more do you need in Summer?
So that’s my pick of the tops, bottoms, one pieces and shoes on ASOS at the moment.
Will you be giving into the sale?
