In my ASOS wishlist post I mentioned I was on a bit of a spending ban. Well since I’m sort of sticking to that for the time being, I thought I’d talk through some products I’ve had for a while now but am still loving.
5 things I think you should try now!
Now I’m not a big dry shampoo user. My hair is pretty good at lasting a while between washes without a real need for it. But since I’ve become more of a gym bunny (lol) I find it definitely helps keep my hair fresh and ready to go after a workout. Especially when my hair is straight, it helps to add a bit of life to my hair. I was intrigued by this as it’s shampoo and conditioner – pretty cool. Like a shower in a can. I feel as if I’m looking after my hair rather than just loading it up with product. And I love this scent! Definitely try it out if you’re a dry shampoo user wanting soft, non crispy hair. P.S this doesn’t leave white marks in my hair.
Right, I know. A deodorant. It’s a weird thing to recommend. But this is great for sensitive skin and contains 0% aluminum and alcohol. It’s also vegan – something I don’t think I’ve ever wondered about before lol. But the reason I bought this is because aluminum is known to be associated with breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease (although I think most research into this is inconclusive). When it comes down to it a deo is a deo, but I would still recommend trying it if this is something you may be worried about. The Care scent is coconut water scented and is quite powerful – a little goes a long way with this spray.
As mentioned in my Nars concealer review post, I was recommended a blush to suit my skin tone. And this has changed my life. I’ve never been a fan of blush and found it kind of unneccesary. But since using this I am officially a convert. It brings LIFE back to my face. Sometimes makeup can be a bit flat and I feel this helps to add dimension and colour back to my cheeks. This shade is described as a warm coral with golden shimmer. Because of this it adds a nice glow to the skin too and I feel I don’t need to use a seperate highlighter. It’s become my new favourite step in my makeup routine.
This is something I had wanted to use for so long, but I just couldn’t justify the price. Although this is said to be multi-functioning, I only intended to and do use it as a lip balm. BUT it’s the best lip balm I’ve ever owned! I’ve been using this since about October and it’s still going strong. One coat in the morning and one before bed and my lips are never dry, chapped or unhappy. Usually most lip balms seem to irritate my lips after a while, but not this baby. It’s 100% worth a try and the money. I don’t know from first hand experience, as I was sold the fragrance free version without realising it but apparently the scented version stiiiiinks. So keep that in mind.
And finally something I’ve spoken about a lot on this blog. Recently I stopped using this for a couple of months. I didn’t notice my skin being worse from not using it, however one night I slapped some on and woke up with crazy soft, glowy, smooth skin?!?!? It’s even helped to fade a few spot scars that wouldn’t go away. I’m not sure why I ever stopped using it lol. A couple of drops massaged into the skin and topped with a thin layer of moisturiser before bed. It’s such a cult product, and for good reason! This is probably the one skin care product I recommend everyone to try.
So that’s five products I’m loving at the moment.
Do you already use any of these?
