Last week I shared with you my current skincare faves. So I thought moving on from that I’d share a few of the makeup bits I’ve been loving this Summer!
I mentioned this product in my 5 To Try post and my love for this blush is still going strong. A warm coral with golden shimmer throughout, this is a perfect shade for my skin helping to add life, colour and a subtle glow to my cheeks. I’ve noticed it looks even better with the slight tan I’ve picked up over summer which is amazing! This is definitely still my favourite step in my makeup routine.
Another Nars baby, who’s surprised? This is an amazing product! During the summer I don’t find powder makeup products as enjoyable to use. Especially if you’re after fresh, glowy skin – who isn’t? In comes this beauty! Since this product is liquid, it blends into the skin effortlessly. It’s also super buildable and I find I can have a more ‘I’ve been out in the sun’ bronzed look using a brush or a natural, summer glow look using a damp beauty sponge. Again this has a golden shimmer in it which I find compliments the Torrid blush really well.
This is quite a recent purchase for me and has been my go to highlighter this month. I don’t always feel the need for highlighter, especially during the day time, as the products mentioned above do add a bit of shimmer. However this one adds that extra bit of warmth to the skin making me look fresher and well, alive (lol) on days when my skin is looking dull. An instant glow hit – a little goes a long way with this powder!
Lately I’ve been really digging lip pencils. I’m over liquid lipstick. In fact I’m over lipsticks in general. Always matte, long lasting colour which requires minimal effort and reapplication? Yes please. And my colours of choice lately have been Stripdown and Burgundy from Mac. Stripdown is said to be a creamy brown beige and to me it’s like my everyday warm nude colour. I find it so wearable and can easily put it on in the morning and happily leave it be all day. Burgundy is a more recent purchase for me and is said to be a brownish, you guessed it, burgundy. It is quite a dark pinkish burgundy on my lips which I’ve been loving recently and I think will be great through to Autumn. A perfect transition colour.
So those are the things I’ve been loving putting on my face this Summer!
